ABOUT ABOUT

Let's Make Heritage Hall Accessible!

The Guelph Black Heritage Society is fundraising to build a ramp to enable wheelchair access to Heritage Hall.  The goal is to reach $47,000 to create the new entrance.  $4,500 has been raised so far.

Heritage Hall, located at 83 Essex Street, was formerly known at the British Methodist Episcopal Church, a significant destination on the 19th century “Underground Railroad” slave escape route.  Since 2011, the Guelph Black Heritage Society has striven to create a cultural, historical and social community centre at Heritage Hall.  Community rentals help support the hall.  Greater access will ramp up that support and enhance the versatility of Heritage Hall.

This event will feature live music by “The Things” followed by DJ Charless Janzen.  This is a licensed event with doors opening at 9:00 p.m.  Tickets in advance are $10 and $15 at the door.
